With all the questions I have been getting, it seems like a wedding update is in order. It is currently the most asked question in my life at the moment.

Having organised a few events in my time, I wasn’t too stressed about organising this. Plus, all the things that need to be ordered in German are delegated to the groom’s side. An advantage of a wedding in a foreign country.

My focus for this wedding is about enjoying the day. I am beyond excited that all my family are coming (in only 5 sleeps!) and I get to meet my gorgeous nephew for the first time EVER! The rest – decorations, flowers and how I will wear my hair – are all coming second to this.

But, I am organised. I have a stunning dress (thank you Kata), we have a cake, music and a photographer. The essentials, right?

All the other details will come together. I have learnt not have too many expectations, so I am not aiming for a magazine perfect day, rather our perfect day. One where everyone laughs, dances and enjoys good food. When even if you can’t speak German you can still order a bottle of wine.

I just want to enjoy the day with the people I love. If I have to walk down the aisle under an umbrella, that’s ok. Beside, I already have an umbrella. One less thing on the ‘to do’ list.
