Island of Women; a beautiful laid back island in the Carribean….clearly this is the mother land for women all over the world.

(Attempting the rock star look)

After breezing through Cancun (that’s all the time it deserves) we set sail for Isla Mujeres. Though the weather was overcast, it was still picturesque. Our first day was rainy, meaning we wandered, did some shopping and got another henna tattoo…it seems to be what Angela and I do when we are together.

The next day was sunshine, so we ventured out to the beach to catch some sun. And then we did what everyone on Isla Mujeres does…hire a golf cart! Yes, we acted like middle aged less travelled tourists and cruised around the island. It is stunning. The west coast has beautiful sandy swimming beaches while the east is more rugged. We also checked out the turtle sanctuary where a couple of hundred turtles had just hatched and were waiting to be released. Cute!

And of course we did one of the things we love the most – dance on boxes! We spent a night on the beach dancing with half of Israel and being the only people there who spoke English as a first language. Guaranteed fun!
