Well, it’s almost here.  My little brother is getting married!  The big day is happening in March…and then again in April.  What?!  Yep, 2 weddings, and I for one am most excited.  Why you ask.  Because the second one is in Malaysia, and there is nothing I like more than an overseas trip!  Don’t get me wrong, I am stoked for my brother (and his gorgeous fiancee Elaine), but it is made even better by the fact that I get to experience it all again in another culture.  And tack on a holiday…

Let me start at the beginning.  When my little brother announced his engagement, I was excited.  It is always so amazing when people find the one they want to spend forever with.  So magic.  And to be there to witness it, and help them celebrate is special.  The fact that I get to see them do it again, in another country, is even more amazing.

I get to take a trip to Perth and then Malaysia, with a wedding in each.  Malaysia is somewhere I’ve not been yet, so I can’t wait.   Then I thought, why stop there.  So I have added a few destinations….Cambodia, Laos and potentially Brunei.  More places that I have yet to visit.  And since I hate writing a million emails while travelling, I thought I’d do a blog.

I still have 45 sleeps to go before I hop on a plane, but I still have so much to do in that time!  Visas, flights, accommodation, and choosing destinations.  Hate doing packaged tours, so it’s all up to me.  The wise advice of many worldly travelled friends is coming in handy.  So far I have flights to Perth and Malaysia.  That’s it.  See, lots to do.  Had planned to come back after Cambodia and Laos, until I found out friends are likely to be in Brunei at the same time.  Perfect!  Another side trip.   There is nothing like the feeling of visiting somewhere new.  It’s great to go back to the best places, but the feeling you get when you go somewhere for the first time is just the best.

45 sleeps, 45 sleeps…!!
